At Orphan's Lifeline, we take our job very seriously...after all, we are just that...a Lifeline. On one end of the Lifeline, is you, the prosepective donor. You will become the anchor that the children you are helping feel when they are pulling themselves to safety. It is our job to protect you from possible exploitation by individuals or organizations in other countries that might try to convince you to "bypass" the "middle man." Please don't fall for that one. For more on that, see this article by The Christian Chronicle. When you become a donor/member, you are then protected by the umbrella of our assessment and reporting policies and can rest assured that your donations are working hard to do exactly what you intended them to do.These policies protect you from the thousands of scams and scammers out there that divert millions of dollars a year into their own pockets that should and could be going to help the many millions out there that are suffering and need our help. These policies are also in place to provide you, the donor, with the information that you deserve to have in regards to the work being done with the donations we receive.
On the other end, are the children of the world that are struggling to survive without parents. They have already been through so much and it is our job to protect every aspect of their lives including their privacy. Because of that, we ask all visitors to become a member/donor before they view the Partner's Pages of our website that includes more in-depth information on Children's Homes. These children and their caregivers are more than happy to share their lives with people that are involved in their daily care and well being, but like anyone else, they do not want to be exploited. So we have made it our policy to limit the amount of information available to visitors. We want to give you enough information to educate you and help you make a decision to be a partner in this work, but it is our job to protect the children. Only those who have signed up as member/donors, willing to participate in the care of the orphan children, will be allowed to view the updates, news and in-depth information specific to an individual children's home or center. This tells us that you are serious about helping these children and not just a casual surfer. We owe this to the thousands of children in our care. Thank you for your understanding and remember Orphan's Lifeline has a written privacy policy and your information is safe, stored offline and will never be shared with anyone for any reason.
