Agape Children's Home

Number of Children:15-21 Boys

Ages of Children:6-15

Location: Coimbatore, India

History: Orphan's Lifeline has been helping this home since it opened in 2005. The home originally started with 10 boys who were thin and malnourished because they had been forced to work in the brick kilns in the local area instead of going to school. These boys were all orphaned by the death of their parents or they had been abandoned by their parents who were unable to support them. In 2010, the director acquired a piece of land on which we helped them to build a new facility. Moving them from their rented property allowed them to add 18 more children to care for over the next two years. The boys have a large vegetable garden where they can grow their own food increasing nutrition. They are happy and healthy thriving in this loving home environment.

Highlights:

Agape home is located in a Hindu village where the people mostly work in agriculture and construction. The children are blessed to have their own garden where they can learn responsibility and produce some of their own food. We have space to take in more orphan children as we receive additional donors to join with us.

Hello sponsors and Donors of OLI, warm greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would like to thank you all for the prayer support and the generous donations for running the home. It is our concern to help these children pursue either college studies or any skill trades to get employment and get place in their life.

-Director of Agape Children’s home

I thank all the sponsors of Orphan’s Lifeline for helping to know Jesus in this home and for their support to continue my studies. I had the plan of going for a job in the police department but God called me for his ministry. Please pray for me to serve the Lord in this great country.
